       Hey Antiquers!

       Welcome to Rideau Retro! I'm glad you took a moment to take a look at what we have to offer! 

My name is C.J. Rooney, and along with my team, I run auction sales, as well as in-home estate sales.

Antiques are a passion of mine. My wife and I enjoy touring antique stores and flea markets in the summer months. If you come to a sale in the summer, chances are you will find our 1986 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham in the laneway. 

       If you visit my office, you will see a glimpse into how a business ran in days gone by (with the addition of a computer for online sales, marketing and a website of course....sometimes you have to modernize). Sitting on my desk is a 1973 IBM Selectric II Correcting Typewriter (which chances are you will receive correspondence from me written on that machine should you become a client), a beige Northern Telecom Model 500 Rotary Telephone (c. 1977), and a Rolodex, to store business cards and telephone numbers.
